XArena Motor Sports, LLC is developing a 230,000-square-foot indoor extreme sports arena in Trenton, New Jersey, that is expected to open in the spring of 2003, with groundbreaking in September 2002, according to XArena.

The plan will finally bring to reality the concept of indoor motocross in a strong and appealing way and will create a positive economic impact on the City of Trenton and the state of New Jersey, the release states.  Unlike the anticipated indoor facility in Indiana that ran into financial problems before opening, the plans for XArena are on a much larger scale and have the backing of successful businessmen from the New York/New Jersey region.  The State of New Jersey and the City of Trenton are in support of the 20-million-dollar project and have approved the land for use as such, according to XArena.

The facility will feature two indoor motocross tracks, Pro shop, full-featured themed restaurant/bar, and future expansions to include BMX and skateboarding, as well as other true extreme sports.  Also located on the property will be a brand new vertical wind tunnel for indoor skydiving, adding yet another extreme sports to the menu offered.

More details can be found a www.xarenasports.com or www.motoracing.com, including an approved rendition of the facility, floor plans, and information on the executive management team that has been assembled to operate the business.
