Xarena Motor Sports Announces Hillier as Architect for Indoor Extreme Sports Facility
New Jersey Project to be Lead by Nation’s 4rd Largest Architectural Firm

Trenton, N.J. – Representatives from XArena Motor Sports™ announced several months ago that The Hillier Group, the nation’s 4th largest architectural firm, had been selected and retained to lead the development of the 230,000 square foot indoor extreme sports facility that will be built in Trenton, New Jersey with construction beginning in the fall of 2002.  Presently, they are well into the design of the new facility and things are shaping up beyond original expectations.

The Hillier Group, founded in 1966, has offices in New York, Newark, Dallas, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.  The firm offers services in architecture, interior, architecture, master planning, historic preservation, land planning, strategic facilities planning, landscape architecture, graphic design, and urban design.

The Hillier Group has been involved in more than 3,000 projects to date, in forty-one states, and twenty-one foreign countries.  The company has annual gross revenues of more than $85 million dollars.

“We’re delighted to have such a reputable firm representing our interests in the design and construction of XArena”, said Clayton Keeler, President of XArena Motor Sports.  “The Hillier Group portrayed a true passion for this facility and the concept behind it, and also saw our vision as we did.  Our partnership in this project is creating a spectacular facility that we feel the extreme sports industry deserves.”

The Hillier Group has designed such facilities as university laboratories, clinical buildings, conference centers, corporate headquarters, gaming casinos, museums, performing arts centers, sports stadiums and numerous other projects, each with unique attributes and challenges.

“The Hillier Group is pleased to have been selected as the principle design team for this brand new concept in the extreme sports arena”, said a Vice President of The Hillier Group.   “Being a part of this project from the foundation of its idea is very exciting and we look forward to seeing the many thousands of families who will enjoy this facility every year.”

The project is scheduled to break ground in September with completion in the spring of 2003.
